• Night-time Concentrated Alcohol Enforcement
  Program
• Goal is to reduce impaired driving by conducting
  highly visible impaired driving enforcement
• Enforcement and education program
• Increase public awareness of impaired driving and
  the fear of being apprehended

  Off-the-Job Crash Injuries is 505,000,000.
• 2005 35 percent of fatalities were
  alcohol-related - 197.

• Started in 1998 focusing on community events
• Expanded to evenings when less expected
• Currently concentrated in Top 13 Counties
• Fatalities and severe injuries

• A driver was stopped for driving 59 in the rain
  on a street posted for 40mph Driver arrested for
  his 3rd DWI at 0.2. He was celebrating a friends
  birthday. He had been previously arrested
  exactly one year ago celebrating the same friends
  birthday.
