classified as Baby Boomers (born between 1946 and
1964) - Attrition rate in SC Government is upwards of 6
and will increase with retirement of Baby Boomers - In some organizations 30 of employees are on
TERI and will retire within the next five years - Institutional knowledge is at a premium and is at
risk

- Budget of 62.8M - five year development and
integration - June 2010 completion - SCEIS has purchased over 8M of SAP Enterprise
Resource Planning (ERP) licenses - 7,000 Professional and 47,000 Employee
Self-Service - SCEIS is focused on the functional business areas
of - Finance and Materials Management (FI-MM)
- Budget Preparation (Budget)
- Human Resource and Payroll (HR-PR)
- 74 Agencies are scheduled to adopt SCEIS
- One time Agency cost for SAP licenses and
implementation - recurring costs are borne
centrally through SCEIS funding

- South Carolina has brought industry leaders
together, through competitive bidding, to partner
in building a statewide solution with SAP under
SCEIS

- SCEIS Infrastructure Project underway
- HP hardware with Microsoft OS and Databases
- 2 year, 2.3M project to build the SCEIS
infrastructure - SCEIS Business Blueprint Update Project underway
- SAP Professional Services group to complete by
May 2006 - SCEIS Solution Center is for stakeholders
- Deloitte is the prime integrator
- 4 year, 39.5M project to re-engineer SC business
processes using SAP - FI and MM for central Agencies is first major
effort
