  • 2005 Formed a national strategic alliance with
    the American Heart Associations Go Red For Women
    movement.
  • Go Red For Women celebrates the energy, passion
    and power we have as women to band together to
    wipe out heart disease and stroke.
  • BPW/USA supports the Go Red For Women movement
    with our ability to
  • Make women aware of their risk of heart disease
  • Advocate for legislative change that would
    impact womens heart health

BPW/USA Healthy Heart Makeover
  • 2006 Activated our alliance, and
  • Launched Healthy Heart Makeover program to
    encourage BPW members to know their risks and to
    encourage others to do the same
  • Supported the HEART for Women Act
  • 2007-2008 Continued Activation
  • Created the Choose To Move tool kit to encourage
    BPW members to reduce their risk of heart attack
    and stroke by getting at lease 30 minutes of
    physical activity most days of the week.

  • Average luncheon attracts 500 women who are
    community leaders
  • There are more than 270 luncheons across the
