3Introduction
- Welcome to Argentina. While you are on your
journey, you will be required to research online,
discuss with your group-mates, and journal. For
all of these expectations, you will be required
to keep track of what you have done, through
notes and logs. The log may be saved in your
folder keep track of your hours worked in your
group. The journaling must be done on a word
processor, saved and E-mailed. Both the log and
the notebook must be kept in a folder on the
computer to be printed and turned in at the end. - You will see symbols at the bottom of each page
to know whether to continue or not. Observe on
this page - Click on either the One Way sign to continue to
Day 1 or the Stop sign to go back to the contents
page, where you can end your day.

- To do this, go to www.google.com and type in
Argentina as the search line. - Try to find out interesting facts about Argentina
that you have not already found. - Look for pictures.
- Find current events.
- Record everything you find on a piece of paper,
including the web pages you visit, so that you
can find it later.

search map of Argentina) - Pick out ONE city that you would like to visit.
- Plan your trip to Argentina
- Find a travel company that could take you there
- Figure out how much (approximately) it would cost
you to visit there - Decide how long you would go
- Write up what you would take with you
- Discuss in your group all of your plans

- Today, you and your group are going to create a
travel brochure for Argentina. You should do this
according to the information you learned on Day 4
from the travel company. - Use Microsoft Publisher to create your brochure.
If you are unsure how to get to Publisher, follow
these directions. - Keep this (and all other materials) in your
folder.

- You must create a final presentation representing
what you have learned about Argentina and what
you think people should know. - You may do this in any way you decide (but you
must okay it with your teacher). - This project is completely a show what you know
assignment, therefore you must show off what your
group has learned about Argentina to the rest of
the class. - There are certain guidelines.
16Day 6 Journey in ArgentinaThe Downward Hill
- Today, you will begin the final downward hill out
of Argentina. - This is also the day that you get your assignment
for the Final Presentation. - Be careful to read all directions.
- Since today is the first day, brainstorm in your
group what ideas you have for presenting to the
rest of the class about Argentina. - Decide today and check with your teacher to okay
your decision.
17Final Presentation Guidelines
- Specifics
- Be creative!
- Tell as much detail as possible (as you know).
- Make sure that each group member is contributing.
- Be prepared to present what you have to the class
in 15 minutes or less. - You must also have something to add to your
binder to prove that you worked on the final
presentationinclude notes, drafts, etc.
- Some Suggestions (but youre not limited to
this) - Create a PowerPoint
- Put on a play or musical
- Write a song and perform it
- Make a bulletin board of your country and explain
it to the rest of the class - Write a short story and read it to the class (not
the same as the one you wrote for your first
journal entry) - Suggest one to the teacherbe creative, anything
goes! ?

send it to your teacher immediately along with
your topic choice. - Use the computer if you are making something

research, other than that get out and do your
