Paul Zarda, a Mechanical Engineer by profession,
is also the inventor of a tennis racquet The
Zarda-Top-Spin-Racquet. The present
invention, called the Zarda-Top-Spin-Racquet, or
the Z-TSR, provides top-spin to the ball (and
under-spin if the ball is appropriately struck)
by using a different design compared to the
spaghetti and to other racquets on the market.
3
The additional top spin and under spin (of the
ball) caused by the Z-TSR is anywhere from 30 to
50 (or more) spin than the spin generated by
conventional racquets. One of the basic
properties of the invention is the use of an
inner frame, and its isolation system to an outer
frame, to provide increase spin on a tennis ball
after impact when struck with this tennis racquet.
4
An important feature of Paul Zardas invention is
the use of an inner frame, and its isolation
system to an outer frame, to provide increase
spin on a tennis ball after impact. Previous
racquet patents describe inner and outer frame
constructions, but none discuss spin or offer
this significant increase in spin.
5
  • The unique objective of the Z-TSR is an inner
frame which contains strings under tension
intended to make contact with the ball. The inner
frame is connected to the outer frame using an
isolation system which allows movement of the
inner frame relative to the outer frame upon
impact of the ball on the outer frame.

6
  • Paul Zarda says another feature that makes
this racquet stands out is the ability to modify
the isolation system to effect the play of the
racquet. The isolating system could be adjusted,
replaced or supplemented to make small or large
adjustments in how the racquet performs.
