  • Majority of applicants perceive the process of
    pre-employment screening as something that is
    difficult to understand and explain. Applicants
    misunderstood the process of pre-employment
    screening to be something that is composed of
    permanent records even to the point that any kind
    is unlawful.

  • Apparently, there is also transparency in
    pre-employment screening wherein an applicant is
    given access to various information gathered from
    the process. It is not a method regulated to
    secretly dismiss unwanted applicants.

  • Employers should let the applicants know
    beforehand that they will be conducting a
    pre-employment screening. A disclosure containing
    the name and contact of the firm conducting the
    pre-employment screening should be given to the
    applicant.

    report, applicants should always take note that
    they have the right to be presented a copy of the
    said report as well as all their files held by
    the pre-employment screening firm.
