Dr. Salvage is a board certified psychiatrist who
has been providing forensic consultations since
1994. Dr. Salvage has a broad range of extensive
experience in both criminal and civil cases, and
has been an expert witness regarding issues of
undue influence, testamentary capacity, NGRI,
impact of addiction on mental status at the time
of offense, impulse control disorders, claims
related to psychiatric disability, post-traumatic
stress disorder, and numerous independent medical
examinations.

David Salvage, M.D, F.A.P.M., is a medically
trained Board Certified Psychiatrist.   After
receiving his M.D. at the Albert Einstein College
of Medicine with distinguished honors in
Psychiatry, Internal Medicine and the History of
Psychiatry, he went on to pursue residency
training at New York University-Bellevue Hospital
in New York City.
Dr. Salvage has held faculty positions at The New
York University School of Medicine,  The Albert
Einstein College of Medicine and New York Medical
College.

Dr. Salvage maintains active membership in
several professional organizations including The
International Psychoanalytic Association, The
American Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine and
has been Board Certified by both the American
Academy of Psychiatry as well as the American
Academy of Addiction Psychiatry.
Dr. Salvage has served on the faculties of NYU
Medical Center, The Albert Einstein College of
Medicine, and the New York Medical College.

Dr. Salvage has served on numerous committees and
between 1998 and 2004 was the Co-Chair of the
Beyond the Basic Curriculum Committee of the
Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and
Research. He is frequently sought out by
professionals from a variety of disciplines for
advice on psychiatric, legal and interpersonal
issues.
Dr. Salvage maintains an active clinical
psychiatric practice which focuses on
psychopharmacology,  treatment of addictions
including guided interventional strategies,  and
state of the art treatment of addictive disorders.
