Title: Why GATE Examination Is So Important

1
WHY GATE EXAMINATION IS SO IMPORTANT ?

2
WHAT IS GATE EXAM
  • GATE is stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in
Engineering, It is an online exam, whose score
is used as a screening criteria for MTech/MS/PhD
admissions in IIT/NIT and other universities in
India and also for applying jobs in PSU(public
Sector Units) like BHEL, PGCIL,IOCL etc.. GATE
score for academics is valid for 3 years, but for
job purposes, you need to have a most recent
    score.

3
Purpose of GATE Examination
  • The purpose of the GATE exam is to evaluate the
students knowledge and understanding of their
under Graduate level subjects in Engineering and
Science. The GATE score reflects the relative
    performance level of a candidate.
  • Every year lakhs of Engineering graduate students
are coming from universities and engineering
colleges. In the present competitive scenario, to
measure and test the caliber of engineering
students is possible through the GATE exam only.

4
Myth About GATE Examination
  • There is a misconception among students is that
the GATE exam is only for ME. /M. Tech which
finally leads to a teaching career only. But, it
is not correct. The GATE score of the candidate
is also used by several public sector
    undertakings(PSU) (i.e., government-owned
companies) for recruiting graduate engineers in
entry-level positions, to get Fellowship Programs
from CSIR and Scholarships in ME/ M.Tech and many
    more.

5
Benefits of Appearing for the GATE Exam
  • Whether you can get admission to top notch
M.Tech/ME/MS institutes depends largely on your
    GATE Results.
  • Clearing the GATE exam is a chance for you to
experience the true essence of being an engineer
    or having an engineering degree.
  • Preparing for the GATE questions helps you
improve on your research development skills.
  • Students having good GATE results get a chance to
learn advanced engineering concepts through world
    class faculties.

6
Benefits of Appearing for the GATE Exam
  • GATE is a gateway to extensive practical
    exercises, various case studies, simulation
modelling of real life problems, individual and
    group projects, research publications/
    presentations in journals/conferences, etc.
  • GATE helps you learn in a highly competitive
environment (best brains in the country) and,
thus, develops and broadens your intellectual
    thought process.

  • Fellowship Programs
  • The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research
(CSIR) introduced the Junior Research Fellowship
(JRF) - GATE scheme in 2002 to allow
    GATE-qualified engineering graduates and
    GPAT-qualified pharmaceutical graduates to pursue
research through suitable Ph.D. programs at CSIR
laboratories. Recruitment Through GATE make your
    future brightest
