Troubleshooting techniques that can improve
performance of canon ink cartridge

• After installing new ink cartridge in your
  printer always perform some tasks like printer
  cleaning cycle, deep cleaning and alignment test.
  Always try to print few pages to see whether
  there is proper ink flow and correct alignment
• Remove the cartridge and gently clean electrical
  contacts of cartridge using clean garment if
  printer does not recognize the cartridge. This is
  done to remove the dust that is blocking
  electrical contacts from printer

3. Take out the unrecognized cartridge and kills
the power that is coming in the printer and it
will be unplugged for half minute if printer
still does not recognize the cartridge. Reinstall
the cartridge and give power back to printer and
try to print it again 4. For cartridges with
print heads, some of the time the cartridge has
been held level or tipsy turvy for a considerable
length of time or months, in this way inks are
not coming to the print head which keeps the new
ink cartridge from printing. To clean, tenderly
spot the cartridge with the print head looking
down on a moist paper towel until ink stream is
unmistakable. Reinstall the ink cartridge and
print.
