In the Capex model for Solar Power, the customer
pays for the power plant up front and then
steadily saves money as the power plant generates
electricity over its lifetime. In this
arrangement, a vendor is typically awarded an EPC
contract, which includes the supply of the solar
power plant as well as installation and
commissioning. The consumer will be awarded an
additional annual maintenance contract for plant
operations and maintenance.
