Stormwater is an outcome of heavy precipitation,
which often seeps into the ground. However, this
thing is not always possible and at which point
is called surface runoff. This creates a problem
as the stormwater causes water levels to rise
and eventually lead to flooding and environmental
damage. Moreover, stormwater can also lead to
pollution and spreading water that can pose a
risk to human life if it gets contaminated with
chemical bacteria or sewage. Therefore, it is
important to have urban stormwater storage and
put it through purification and filtration
processes. This means that the water can be
stored and repurposed.

There are various types of stormwater management
solutions that are used in urban centers to
protect the population and environment.

• These include installing underground tanks and
  pipes for storage and drainage. However, these
  can be expensive projects that are labor-
  intensive and need a lot of work due to the
  digging of ground and so on.
• One alternative to these methods is the use of
  underground stormwater infiltration tanks. These
  store water during times of high water and
  slowly release it after the levels have dropped.
  In rivers and other natural waterways, this
  prevents erosion damage.
• Unlike other conventional methods of installing a
  whole network of piping, the stormwater boxes
  can be installed with as few as two ground
  workers. The installation is done by excavating a
  hole in the ground and layering geotextile
  fabrics before stacking the boxes together in a
  grid format until the desired size of the system
  has been formed.
