License 1) 18 years of age 2) At least three
years' actual experience as a licensed real
estate salesperson or real estate broker during
the five years immediately proceeding the time of
application. 3) If for an original cemetery
broker's license, either a current real estate

have a current real estate broker's license, at
least three years' actual experience as a
cemetery salesperson or broker or as a licensed
real estate salesperson or broker during the five
years immediately preceding the time of

Certification Questionnaire, plus each broker who
employed applicant in the previous 5-year period
must complete a Broker Candidate Experience
Verification form. 7) Complete 90 hours of
pre-licensing education and pass the examination
at a real estate school, college or university.

(License applicants who do not reside in this
state are required to complete a minimum of a
27-hour course that is specific to this state's
real estate statutes, rules, practices and
procedures and that is prescribed and approved by
the Commissioner and are required to pass the
real estate school examination before taking this
state's examination. Applicants with previous
real estate education, can also apply for and be
granted a waiver of the prelicensure courses. For

including employment history for the immediately
preceding 10 years and any experience in real
estate sales, appraisals, transfers or similar

civil judgment, or denial or discipline of a
professional or occupational license you held or
currently hold, provide the additional documents
and information identified on Form LI-400 -
Document Checklist, available on the Department's
