Kinh Thanh Hue (Hue Capital Citadel) construction started in 1805 under the reign of Emperor Gia Long and completed in 1832 under the reign of Emperor Ming Mang. Under Nguyen' reign, Kings have ordered to build ramparts, palaces and constructional works of royal. Over 200 years to now, it is still original with nearly 140 small and large constructions. The Citadel, square in shape and almost 10 km in circumference, 6 m high, 21 m thick and 10 entrances. On the top of the walls that surround it, 24 bastions are established for defensive purposes. Besides, the Citadel has an ancillary gate connecting the Tran Binh Bastion called the Thai Binh Mon (Peace Gate). – PowerPoint PPT presentation

Khan v?n or khan, is a kind of turban worn by
Vietnamese people which had been popular since
ancient time.The word v?n means to wrap or coil
around. The word khan means scarf. Khan v?n is a
textile rectangle long and quite thick, coiled
around the head

Every temple in Vietnam has a triple gate
architecture (Tam Quan gate). It is the Buddhist
architecture that means three gates of
liberation. In the past, the main door of this
triple gate was only for King. The right and left

for the daily activities of the Queen Mother. The
name of the house means long life, which was a
wish of longevity for the Emperors mother

Hu? is a province capital in central Vietnam and
was the state capital from 1738 to 1775 and of
the Nguyen Dynasty from 1802 to 1945. Imperial
City is Hue's famous landmark that was founded in
1804. It is situated within the Hue Citadel. Here
are located many temples for worshiping the
deceased Emperors and members of their families.
Inside the Imperial city was built the Forbidden
Purple City where only members of the royal
family were allowed. The Imperial City is
protected by UNESCO and as a result many
buildings that had been seriously damaged during
the war have been rebuilt and restored
