A Pathway to Success

• Pathways to Apprenticeship Construction
  Technology (PACT)
• A proposed articulation agreement between the
  Michigan Community College Association and the
  Building Construction Trades Joint
  Apprenticeship Training Committees
• Journeyworkers could receive a standard award of
  32 Block Credits for a US DOL OA Certificate of
  Completion
• The award is applied towards an Associate Degree
• Apprentices could receive a reduction of related
  training instruction for aligned college courses

Community College Requirements

• Students graduating from a U.S. DOL OOA
  Registered
• Building and Construction Trades JATP will
  receive a
• minimum of 32 credits towards an Associate
  Degree
• upon successful completion of 12 to 20 minimum
• credit hours, depending upon individual
  institution
• requirements.

Community College Requirements

• Upon completion of the required General Education
  courses and meeting the minimum graduation
  requirements, an Associates Degree will be
  awarded.
• Normal college requirements and policies apply
  including admission and grading.
• Credits articulated will transfer and appear on
  the students transcript in compliance with
  college policy
• Tuition and fees will not be charged for
  articulated credits under this agreement

• Joint Apprenticeship Training Committees would
  reduce the
• related training instruction hours for aligned
  community college
• credits earned. Only non-remedial credits earned
  with a 2.0 grade
• point average or above will be accepted with a
  transcript.
