• Using Our Library

How to behave ?

• Our library is a place for quiet study and
  research.
• Talking,playing or running around is definitely
  not encouraged.
• Reading quietly and whispering is.

What not to bring to the library?

• Food such as tidbits and cakes as they attract
  insects and rats.
• Water and other liquids as they can damage our
  library books and materials.

Can the special rooms be
used ?

• The LIP room is reserved for special activities
  /events that are organized from time to time.
• The Work Room is a place for library personnel
  such as teacher librarians.
• Such rooms cannot be used without special
  permission.

What about the use of computers ?

• Library users should follow the timing given to
  them closely when they book for the use of
  computers.
• The computers should not be used for email or
  personal programs without prior permission.

What do you do with your personal belongings ?

• Make sure that your bags and other belongings are
  put into the cubicles(not on the floor), provided
  outside the library.
• Money and other valuables should not be put in
  such cubicles and left unattended.

What to do with the borrowed books or materials
?

• Do remember to return books/ materials in time.
• Such books and materials are meant for everyone.
• They should be used with care and consideration.

How to get help ?

• Having problems while using the computer ? Trying
  to find a particular book without much success ?
• Feel free to ask for help from the
• librarians.
• They would be glad to help you.
