3Top Concerns for Domestic Animals 1. Viruses -
Dr. Buchoff believes you need to wait until 12
weeks of age if you are going to vaccinate. He
does vaccinate for Parvo, then Distemper, then
Parvo again. 2. Parasites - known to stunt small
animals growth 3. Nutritional influences - not
enough enzymes in diet, fillers that are not
nutritionally useful. 4. Autoimmune failure- one
of the causes is overuse of antibiotics 5. Most
common - scratching from allergies, nutritional
deficiencies, over bathing 6. Canine
influenza 7.Kennel cough may be due to many
factors and has many different pathways, not all
the same. Cornell University Vet. School of
Medicine has a large body of research on these
concerns.

4We are not all the same yet we are ONE. The
importance of the sense of smell in domestic
animals Olfaction is to animals what writing
is to humans a message that can be transmitted
in the absence of the sender. -Domestic
animal behavior for veterinarians and animal
scientists By Katherine A. Houpt
5LONGEVITY PET HEALTH Olfactory sense - This
is perhaps the most important sense of domestic
animals in terms of communication. Dogs probably
have the greatest olfactory ability of all
domestic species. They are able to detect many
compounds at 1/1,000,000 the concentration humans
can detect and for many weeks after the odorant
was placed. Odors and pheromones are very
important triggers for domestic animal behavior.
The bloodhound, for example, has 76 times the
surface area of nasal epithelium as humans.
Cats have about four times the surface area of
nasal epithelium more than human beings.
Olfactory receptor cells Human beings have
about 30 million receptors, rabbits have 100
million ORC, and most dogs have one billion ORC
the bloodhound has four billion ORC (Chudler

8 KEYS TO LONGEVITY
1. Remove all household and personal care
products that are not organic. 2. Replace with
the finest products available Thieves Kit
Animal Scent Shampoo Animal Scent Ointment
Your own personal care choices from Young Living.
Remember while you may not detect the
synthetics, these harsh chemicals all travel the
same path of destruction in our domestic animals
as they do in our system, and they can sense
it. 3. When any stressful situations occur
diffuse In the rooms or stall of the animal Peace
Calming, Lavender, or Idaho Balsam Fir 4. Use
YLEO's and the supplements to help repair chronic
behavioral and physiological patterns. They
effect the nervous system that controls
heartbeat, blood pressure, and similar functions
the hypothalamus, pituitary, and adrenal glands
(which work together to produce a hormonal
response) and the cardiovascular, metabolic, and
immune systems.
9 KEYS TO LONGEVITY
Caution with cats Cats lack an enzyme for
metabolizing certain molecules. Some of the
hot oils like Cinnamon, Lemongrass, Oregano and
Thyme can accumulate and cause some harm to the
liver. While I diffuse and clean with Thieves
I never apply it on or near my cats.

11All pets need help in recovery from trauma.
Etymology from Greek a wound. Current research
for both pets and people indicate that trauma
has a distinct pathway and can Create an
unhealthy physiological pattern for a long
time. Trauma 1. A serious injury or shock to
the body, as from violence or an accident. 2.
An emotional wound or shock that creates
substantial, lasting damage to the psychological
development. 3. An event or situation that
causes great distress and disruption.

Animal Scents Ointment is a must for everyones
first-aid kit. Carol Komitor, founder

13Diffusion One of the best ways to support our
pets immune system and help reduce
stress. Favorites Peace
Calming Lavender Idaho Balsam
Fir Purification Consider the size, weight,
age and general condition of the animal when
using diffusion, applying oils topically or
orally by ingestion.
14First Aid Idaho Balsam Fir respiratory, areas
that are painful, achy and/or swollen dilution
101 for dogs always think of body weight
also. V-6 Mixing Oil for dilution Cats 501
dilution Do not need to part fur just put on
topically. Nancy Brandt, DVM
15First Aid E. Radiata strong top note acts as a
smelling salts. To help those who are wheezy,
hard time orienting, or appears confused 1. Hold
bottle under nose 2. Keep isolated if infected.
Use pot of temperate water and 2 drops of each
Pine, E. Radiata, and Idaho Balsam Fir to
assist breathing. Drinking it would be harsh on
their membranes, cover after using. Best YLEO
for overall help Frankincense Crosses blood
brain barrier and can support and increase O2 for
the brain when injured. For old injuries,
infections, and as an anti-tumoral give a drop
of Frankincense diluted with V-6 Mixing Oil in
capsule. Excellent for prevention.
16Helichrysum for bleeding and bruising. Lavender
is the probably the most versatile essential oil.
It is a wonderful first aid tool to always have
on hand. Allergies diffuse, dilute when given
internally. Peppermint Di-Gize excellent for
applying directly over stomach area. Please
dilute as it can be very uncomfortable for
them. Pine excellent for runny nose, clogged
sinuses Egyptian Gold strengthens the immune
systems GLF will help induce vomiting and
support liver Melrose for helping granulate
tissue especially for horses. Also used for
chronic infections Bites undiluted on the bug
bites even for cats Purification cleans fungi,
bacteria, viruses - so we need to use it
liberally after one animal has the condition to
stop spreading.
