Engineer Selection
  • Required if any federal dollars are involved in
    the project at any time
  • Simplified process of interviewing at least 3
    firms
  • Phone, written (mailed or faxed), in-person
  • Sample forms can be obtained from website
  • Three knowledgeable people must be involved in
    the selection process, review the firms
    submission, rank the firms
  • Final ranking and selection passed by resolution
  • Negotiate with top firm, if negotiations not
    successful, then negotiate with firm ranked
    second
  • Keep documentation for possible audit
