Whose Revenge?

• Romans 12 17- 19

17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide
things honest in the sight of all men. 18 If it
be possible, as much as lieth in you, live
peaceably with all men. 19 Dearly beloved,
avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto
wrath for it is written, Vengeance is mine I
will repay, saith the Lord.

• Dont start Proverbs 2429 - Say not, I will do
  so to him as he hath done to me I (God) will
  render to the man according to his work.
• Example Jezebel and Naboth (I King 19 1-16,

• Dont pay back I Thessalonians 515 - See that
  none render evil for evil unto any man but ever
  follow that which is good, both among yourselves,
  and to all men.
• Esther and Haman (Esther 5 2-4)
• Seeing that paying back will get you into
• trouble (Galatians 67)
• Look to the Judge who will repay
• I Peter 23 - Who, when he was reviled, reviled
  not again when he suffered, he threatened not
  but committed himself to him that judgeth
  righteously (Jesus as an example)
• Realize that vengeance is Gods, not ours
