Lord, you were condemned even though you were
completely innocent. Please be with all people
who are condemned or imprisoned unjustly.

started on your final journey. Give your help
and strength to all who face death.

Lord, you were treated with great cruelty by
people who were just doing their job. Help
everyone to be aware of the consequences of their
actions.

Mary, it must have been so hard for you to see
your son suffer. Please be with all mothers who
have to comfort children who are in pain.

5. The soldiers force Simon to carry Jesus
cross for a while

Lord, show us when we have the opportunity to
help someone who is carrying a heavy burden, and
give us the courage to help without being forced
to.

Help us not to neglect the small things we can
do to help other people.

your own. Help us not to make our own problems
an excuse for being selfish.

to get their hands on the prisoners possessions.
Help us not to exploit other people to get what
we want.

Jesus, you forgave the people who hurt you so
much. Help me to forgive people who hurt me.

Jesus, I know you took on yourself the pain and
anguish of my sins. Help me not to hurt you
again.

Your friends ran away when you were arrested, but
some of them came back to bury you. When I have
let my friends down, help me to come back and
help them.

Lord, please comfort all those who are mourning
for someone who has died.

Lord, your resurrection gives us all hope,
especially when someone we love has died. Help
us to have faith in you.
