What we do

• Traineeship and Apprenticeship Services
• Registers employers to employ train trainees
  and apprentices
• Provides information on how to find an
  apprenticeship or traineeship
• Assesses and approves apprenticeships and
  traineeships and changes to apprenticeships and
  traineeships
• Provides support, information and advice on
  apprenticeships and traineeships
• Initiates investigations of alleged breaches of
  the state training legislation
• Administers subsidies
• User Choice funding to Registered Training
  Organisations for apprentice / trainee training
• Travel and Accommodation allowance, to eligible
  apprentices / trainees
• Regulates and funds Group Training Organisations
• Supports and funds special projects, including
  DARP and Pre-Apprenticeship

Our roles and responsibilities

• Employers, Apprentices and Trainees together
  choose the RTO which meets the training needs of
  both parties. TAS encourages discussion between
  the parties when making this choice with regard
  to such things as
• Mode or location of delivery
• Choice of electives
• Assessment methodology and timing

Whats new in TAS

• Development and launch of the new TAS website

  Trainees is on www.employment.sa.gov.au

• Promote products and services

• Provide easy navigation for key stakeholders (on
