INTRODUCTION
- Should start generally and narrow to the thesis.
- Should contain a thesis statement that clearly
states your position on the topic.
The introductions structure should be an
inverted triangle with the thesis at the end.

BODY
- The main arguments should be organized in a
logical order usually from general to specific
with your warrants at the end of each point. - The arguments should be developed with RENNS
(Reasons, Examples, Names, Numbers and Senses)
when appropriate.
Each argument should be constructed of 1) a
claim, 2) evidence, and 3) a warrant.

CLAIM This is the main argument that supports
the thesis.

EVIDENCE These are the facts, reasons, etc. that
support the claim.
EVIDENCE
WARRANT This is the statement that connects the
claim to the thesis.

opposing view.

EXPLANATION This is the explanation of the
opposing view.

CONCLUSION
- Should summarize your papers main arguments as
briefly as possible. - The conclusion should give closure to the paper.
No sequels!
The conclusions structure should be a triangle
with closure at the end.
