INTRODUCTION
  • Should start generally and narrow to the thesis.
  • Should contain a thesis statement that clearly
    states your position on the topic.

The introductions structure should be an
inverted triangle with the thesis at the end.

BODY
  • The main arguments should be organized in a
    logical order usually from general to specific
    with your warrants at the end of each point.
  • The arguments should be developed with RENNS
    (Reasons, Examples, Names, Numbers and Senses)
    when appropriate.

Each argument should be constructed of 1) a
claim, 2) evidence, and 3) a warrant.

support the claim.

  • Should summarize your papers main arguments as
    briefly as possible.
  • The conclusion should give closure to the paper.
    No sequels!

The conclusions structure should be a triangle
with closure at the end.
