Licenses One Size Does Not Fit All
DHMH issues a food processing license to all
food processing facilities in Maryland except for
those in Baltimore City, Charles County, and
Prince George's County. County health
departments issue food service facility licenses
to all food service facilities, such as
restaurants. Baltimore City has a municipal
Health Department. USDA, FSIS authorizes
animal slaughter facilities. DHMH licenses
dairy and dairy products. MDA licenses eggs.
