• New Technical Developments in Sea and Land Level
  Observing Systems (14-15 October, 2003, Paris,
  France)
• GLOSS Training Course on Sea Level Observation
  and Analysis (Department of Surveying and Mapping
  of Malaysia 9-20 February 2004)
• GLOSS Technical Visit to Iran (Hydrographic
  Department of the National Cartographic Center of
  Iran Daniel Hareide - The Norwegian Hydrographic
  Office 7-14 March 2004)
• GLOSS Technical Visit to Red Sea (PERSGA, ISESCO,
  and the tide gauge agencies of Saudi Arabia,
  Yemen, Djibouti, Sudan and Egypt Dr Cherif
  Sammari, INSTM, Tunisia 8-19 December 2004)
• GLOSS sponsored the installation of a new
  pressure gauge in Takoradi, Ghana. (Takoradi has
  one of the longest time series of sea level
  observations in Africa). The gauge was donated by
  the National Institute of Oceanography (Goa,
  India) and the installation was carried out two
  NIO scientists.

  Oceanographic Laboratory
• Two new tide gauges to Mozambique installation in
  April 2005 by the South African Hydrographic
  Service (SAHS).
• One gauge to Brazil which will be installed at
  Cananeia in early 2005.
• Training grant for one Nigerian scientist
• Ocean Data and Information Network for Africa
  (OdinAfrica III)
• Funded by the Government of Flanders (Belgium)
  through a grant to IOC
• Work Package 2 The Coastal Observing System
• 15 gauges to be installed 2005-2008 time period
  with this funding
• GLOSS has assisted the project managers with
  advice and coordination on the sea level aspects
  of the project.
• GLOSS Training CD produced by Proudman
  Oceanographic Laboratory
