ScanIT is BMIs entry level barcode scanning
system that is designed to interface with the
your EDEN fixed asset module. Using an HT-630
scanner that is loaded with valid Asset Tag s
makes taking an inventory easy. BMIs ScanIT
allows you to scan only valid bar-coded assets
with the scanner. The updated asset file with the
current Location, Dept., Room and inventory date
is exported from ScanIT. The file is now
available for importing and posting to your fixed
asset module utilizing the EDEN FAS Interface.

• ScanIT Product Summary
• ScanIT is designed for the client that wants to
  use a barcode scanner to automate their fixed
  asset inventory process. ScanIT requires that all
  of your assets are bar-coded. A Missing asset
  report is available for review and printing in
  EDEN. ScanIT is recommended for entry level
  clients who have accurate data and want to stop
  using a manual check-off inventory process.

AssetTrak PPC is BMIs most advanced barcode
scanning and data management system, designed to
interface with the your fixed asset module.
Exporting the EDEN master file and importing it
into AssetTrak PPC allows for automated barcode
scanning and reporting. AssetTrak PPC compares
scanned asset data with your current data and
automatically updates the changes. The updated
asset file is exported from AssetTrak PPC and
can be imported to your EDEN fixed asset module.
AssetTrak PPC also allows for easy conversion to
bar-coded Tags if required.

Barcode vs. RFID Scanning Systems from BMI
Barcode RFID Scanning
RFID scanning does NOT require Line of Sight.
The scanning distance ranges from 1 to 10 feet,
depending on the scanner, tag size, tag type
scanner used
BMI offers a Bluetooth RFID scanner (BDF-9000)
that works with the PA 600. This system is
recommended when a majority of your tags are
barcodes. The CSL-CS101 is recommended when a
majority of your tags are RFID tags. The scanning
range for the CS-101 is 2 to 10 feet

AssetTrak PPC Product Summary AssetTrak PPC is
designed for the client that requires features of
our most advanced fixed asset scanning system.
Converting to barcode or RFID tags is easy.
Missing, Moved New Asset listings on the Pocket
PC and the Serial lookup on the scanner
increase productivity. You can also scan an asset
using RFID technology. The scan range for RFID
tags is up to five times farther from the asset
tag and has no line of sight issues. The
View/Add/Update program allows you to view the
Description, Make, Model and Serial and edit
asset records easily. Also, a series of exception
reports are available to help you reconcile and
manage your physical inventory before you upload
