Joint Topology Control and Routing in Wireless
Networks
Wireless Networks have many applications and
their use is critical for communications on a
daily basis. A limiting factor in their operation
is usually the battery life of the network node
equipment. This research examines how to bring
together ways of controlling the flow of data
over such networks simultaneously with minimising
the intra-network interference and maximising the
network battery-dependent lifetime.

The network simulator being used is OPNET. Its
ability to represent a network at every stage
proved to be very accurate and helpful to realise
how everything works in real life.
The behaviour of the Geographic Routing Protocol
(GRP) is examined in terms of total sent and
received traffic, modifying some of the models
attributes.
