Some Background to me

• Worked in London for an Energy Agency for 5 years
  until 2006.
• Renewable Energy and Sustainable Transport
  officer.
• Working with private sector, local government and
  London government.
• Specialist in biodiesel.
• Since 2006 as an external consultant for
• Energy Solutions, London
• Marches Energy Agency, Shropshire UK
• Greenfleet UK
• Working on IEE projects since 2004
• STEER eAtomium, Competence
• ALTENER BioDieNet, ProBio
• Sustainable Energy Communities Energy21
• Integrated Initiatives RuralRES

Project History

• Problem of Coordination Communication
• Annex I was unclear on alot of points
• Scarcity of data required for the objectives of
  WP3 WP4
• Poor support from the Commission previous officer
• Project was in real difficulties
• Went to Brussels- with Isabel
• Were given very short timeframe to rescue the
  situation

• Completed the 2nd interim report necessary
  documents
• Took a long time to get a response
• Finally project officer gave us her word that she
  wanted the project to continue
• Still needed to wait for officical response
• Finally came on 9th December-
• It showed support for the project but
• We still needed complete alot of tasks
• Replied again on 5th December-
• Waiting for the 2nd prefinancing

2nd Prefinancing

• Have delivered all the necessary documents to the
  Commission.
• Although should be fine but two things regretably
  causing delays
• The Commission can only respond to Hard Copies
  and hence will have to wait until they are
  received.
• There was a delay in posting the Hard Copies at
  Huelva

Victory in sight

• We made sure they didnt stop the project
• Now the objective is to turn it into the best
  project
• Covenant of Mayors
• Great team

• One of the demands of the EACI was a Strategy as
  well as a renewed interim report.
• That strategy probably hasnt been made clear- so
  Ill explain

• uptake of SEAPs, critical for Covenant of Mayors

  Energy Diagnosis.
• Improve Deliverables of poor quality.
• ENHANCE
• Extra deliverables Webforum analysis,
  Cooperation with Energie-Cités
• Extra evaluation criteria
• DELIVER
• Deliver all required of project especially a
  quality Model SEAP Guide

• WP2- Huelva
• Got the website working
• Huelva will improve it further- Oscar
• Thanks to the partners
• WP3
• LA21 reports received from everyone. D9 needs
  some retouching, but generally good.
• WP4
• Prediagnosis D10.
• D11 (SWOT) D12 (Energy Diagnosis) will be
  presented by each partner in this meeting. Once
  received, the Common Report will be developed
  uploaded.

• We need to justify some real participation in
  next 6 months.

• Others I see no problem justifying the hours
• Hope this has clarified things a bit more
