The Reign of Christ
  • Revelation 201-15

3
The Binding of Satan
  • Revelation 201-6

4
The Second Half of the Book
  • Revelation chapters 12-19 picture the final
    fulfillment of Daniel 244-45, 711-14, 21-27
    927.
  • The ultimate message of the book of Revelation is
that Jesus Christ now rules the kingdoms of men
with a rod of iron through His Word, and that His
victorious saints reign with Him in His eternal
    kingdom.Rev. 1115 1911-16 204

5
The Second Half of the Book
  • Revelation chapters 12-19 picture the final
    fulfillment of Daniel 244-45, 711-14, 21-27
    927.
  • In Rev. 14-18 we see the harlot Babylon (whether
Rome or Jerusalem) judged and destroyed. As
Babylon is destroyed, so is the beast (Roman
Empire) and the false prophet (1920-21). I.e.,
the Roman Empires dominion is taken away, along
with the power to persecute the saints and
enforce emperor worship. Judgment is passed in
favor of the saints (Dan. 722). The church is
    victorious!

6
The Lambs Marriage Supper
  • Chapter 19
  • 1919-21 The Battle of Armageddon. Christ casts
the 2 beasts into the lake of fire and kills the
kings of the earth with His sword (removes their
dominion). His kingdom, the church, is
    victorious.(fulfills Daniel 711-14, 26-27)

7
The Dragon Is Bound
  • Chapter 20
  • The dragon (Satan) is bound and sealed up in the
abyss (not the lake of fire), so that he should
not deceive the nations any longer.
  • This appears to refer to previous statements
about deceiving the nations to follow a worldwide
system of emperor worship (1313-14 1613-14
    1920 also see 2 Thess. 27-12)

8
Revelation 201-6
  • only passage in Bible that speaks of 1000 year
    reign
  • more speculation regarding this passage than any
    other
  • men have taken premillenialism INTO this passage

9
Premillenialists Teach
  • RAPTURE (1st phase of 2nd coming) Dead
    Christians raised living transformed.
  • SEVEN-YEAR TRIBULATION
  • Calamities befall those left behind.
  • BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON
  • Christ returns and defeats the Antichrist.
  • CHRISTS RETURN (2nd phase of 2nd coming)
  • Earthly kingdom established
  • THOUSAND-YEAR REIGN
  • Jesus rules from Davids throne in Jerusalem.
  • THE END (3rd phase of 2nd coming)
  • World ends remaining dead are raised,
    judged, and punished.

Revelation 201-6
  • doesnt speak of
  • 2nd coming of Christ
  • a bodily resurrection
  • an earthly reign
  • throne of David
  • Jerusalem
  • Christ on earth

11
Premillenialism
  • the tribulation period is still yet future (but
    see Matthew 2421, 34)
  • the start of Christs reign is yet future (but
    see Acts 230-33 Eph. 120-23 Col. 113)
  • Christs reign will be literal on earth (but see
    1 Cor. 1550 John 1836-37)
  • shortly come to pass has now been strung out
for nearly 2000 years (but see Rev. 11 226)

12
Revelation 201-6 CANNOT CONTRADICT
  • that the kingdom of Christ has already been set
    up (Rev. 19 Col. 113)
  • that the kingdom was set up when Jesus ascended
    and sat down(Eph. 120-22 Acts 230-36)
  • that people have been added to the kingdom by the
blood of Christ (Rev. 15-6 Col. 113-14)

13
Revelation 201-6 CANNOT CONTRADICT
  • that Christs kingdom is not of this world (1
    Cor. 1550 John 1836-37)
  • that when Jesus comes again the END (not the
beginning) will occur (1 Cor. 1523-26 2 Pet.
    39-10)
  • that there will be only one bodily resurrection
    (Acts 2415 John 528-29)
