and we use different ones for different jobs.

so we can keep safe in the kitchen.

The grain that is used to make flour for bread is
processed and how it is processed makes a
difference. Grain used in white flour is
processed differently than the grain used to make
wholemeal flour.

bread or even rice bread, are simply variations
using different grains other than traditional
wheat.

processed and the part of the grain that contains
fibre has been removed. It is not a healthier

important in helping keep our intestines healthy.

Wholemeal bread Wholemeal bread contains the
whole of the grain. No goodness has been removed
when the grain was processed into flour. It is a
healthier choice.

Baguette Baguettes can be high in salt and
contain up to a fifth of your daily intake of
salt so are not a healthier choice.

think about what they look like, their smell,
texture and flavour and then decide if you like

for us? You can swap butter for healthy spread
and fruit can be used as a sweetener which means
you can use less sugar!

Look at the pointer on the weighing scales for
your answer.
