The Great Commission

• 18 And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying,
  " All authority has been given to Me in heaven
  and on earth.
• 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the
  nations, baptizing them in the name of the
  Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
• teaching them to observe all that I
  commanded you and lo, I am with you always,
  even to the end of the age."

I Also Send You
18 Mary Magdalene came, announcing to the
disciples, "I have seen the Lord," and that He
had said these things to her. 19 So when it
was evening on that day, the first day of the
week, and when the doors were shut where the
disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came
and stood in their midst and said to them, "
Peace be with you." 20 And when He had said
this, He showed them both His hands and His
side. The disciples then rejoiced when they saw
the Lord. 21 So Jesus said to them again, "
Peace be with you as the Father has sent Me, I
also send you." 22 And when He had said this,
He breathed on them and said to them, "Receive
the Holy Spirit. John 2018-22

The Very Early Years
1 Now the sons of Israel again did evil in the
sight of the Lord, so that the Lord gave them
into the hands of the Philistines forty years. 2
There was a certain man of Zorah, of the family
of the Danites, whose name was Manoah and his
wife was barren and had borne no children. 3
Then the angel of the Lord appeared to the woman
and said to her, "Behold now, you are barren and
have borne no children, but you shall conceive
and give birth to a son. 4 "Now therefore, be
careful not to drink wine or strong drink, nor
eat any unclean thing. 5 For behold, you
shall conceive and give birth to a son, and no
razor shall come upon his head, for the boy
shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb and he
shall begin to deliver Israel from the hands of
the Philistines." Judges 131-5

Jesus was sent to Serve
25 But Jesus called them to Himself and said,
"You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord
it over them, and their great men exercise
authority over them. 26 "It is not this way
among you, but whoever wishes to become great
among you shall be your servant, 27 and
whoever wishes to be first among you shall be
your slave 28 just as the Son of Man did not
come to be served, but to serve, and to give His
life a ransom for many." Matt 2025-28

Jesus was sent for Judgment
39 And Jesus said, " For judgment I came into
this world, so that those who do not see may
see, and that those who see may become blind."
40 Those of the Pharisees who were with Him
heard these things and said to Him, " We are not
blind too, are we?" 41 Jesus said to them, " If
you were blind, you would have no sin but since
you say, ' We see,' your sin remains. John
939-41

Jesus was sent to bring Life
7 So Jesus said to them again, "Truly, truly, I
say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 "All
who came before Me are thieves and robbers, but
the sheep did not hear them. 9 I am the door
if anyone enters through Me, he will be saved,
and will go in and out and find pasture. 10
"The thief comes only to steal and kill and
destroy I came that they may have life, and
have it abundantly. John 107-10

Jesus was sent to bring Light
I have come as Light into the world, so that
everyone who believes in Me will not remain in
darkness. John 1246

Jesus was sent to Suffer
24 "Some of those who were with us went to the
tomb and found it just exactly as the women also
had said but Him they did not see." 25 And He
said to them, "O foolish men and slow of heart
to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!
26 Was it not necessary for the Christ to
suffer these things and to enter into His
glory?" Luke 2424-26

He said to them, "Let us go somewhere else to the
towns nearby, so that I may preach there also
for that is what I came for. Mark 138

Jesus was sent to Destroy the Work of the Devil
The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to
destroy the works of the devil. 1 John 38

Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of
Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work. John

Jesus was sent To Seek and Save the lost
For the Son of Man has come to save that which
was lost. Matt 1811

Luke 191-4
1 He entered Jericho and was passing through. 2
And there was a man called by the name of
Zaccheus he was a chief tax collector and he
was rich. 3 Zaccheus was trying to see who
Jesus was, and was unable because of the crowd,
for he was small in stature. 4 So he ran on
ahead and climbed up into a sycamore tree in
order to see Him, for He was about to pass
through that way.

5 When Jesus came to the place, He looked up and
said to him, "Zaccheus, hurry and come down, for
today I must stay at your house." 6 And he
hurried and came down and received Him gladly. 7
When they saw it, they all began to grumble,
saying, "He has gone to be the guest of a man
who is a sinner."

8 Zaccheus stopped and said to the Lord,
"Behold, Lord, half of my possessions I will
give to the poor, and if I have defrauded anyone
of anything, I will give back four times as
much." 9 And Jesus said to him, "Today
salvation has come to this house, because he,
too, is a son of Abraham. 10 "For the Son of
Man has come to seek and to save that which was
lost."
