A Project Manager who recently undertook a JAVA
enablement project on CICS to determine the
viability of using the that environment as the
strategic platform for the next five years
stated, The first 30 days of the project were
wasted just attempting to achieve meaningful
dialog between the mainframe and JAVA
professionals. In todays Information Systems
world, there is little investment being made in
cross-training professionals of e-commerce,
e-business, and transaction-based mainframe
systems. When projects are undertaken involving
both types of professionals, there is no common
points of understanding between them. It is, as
if, each group is speaking a different language
with no interpreter available. The ACRONYM
workshop/seminar is designed to bridge this
language communications gap by defining all of
the required architectures and protocols in terms
each professional can identify with. The ACRONYM
concept is that there is really nothing new or
different. The same functions just have different
acronyms. Equivalents can be drawn for each
acronym and immediate understanding and points of
common knowledge can be quickly established. The
end-product of this offering is clear
understanding by each professional group as to
equivalents and differences. The project team is
provided with a CD containing a complete
dictionary of terms that can be referenced
on-line.

Developing a common base of knowledge to allow
for effective communications is critical to the
success of every organization, project, and
individual. Increase your value to the
organization, achieve a level of personal
success, and become actively involved in the
future success of your business.
WHY?
Establish a base of common knowledge to allow
technical professionals of heterogeneouscomputin
g backgrounds to interact as a homogeneous
team. Thus allowing for more rapid project
initiation, and higher effectiveness and
efficiency of the team members. The ACRONYM
approach provides a better human interaction
among disparate technical disciplines.
WHERE?
At the Client site or a convenient meeting
location.
