  whole, or inclusion into a greater whole
  
• Integration is a reciprocal process, one that
  affects, and makes demands on, both immigrants
  and the society receiving them equally.
• Integration is therefore an ongoing challenge for
  society. It must be made possible for immigrants
  to participate on an equal footing in a countrys
  social, economic, cultural and political life,
  with due respect being shown for cultural
  diversity.
