Ellipsis points are three periods, each preceded
and followed by a space.

• They can be used to mark an ellipsis, any
  deliberate omission of words from a direct
  quotation.

Use ellipsis points to indicate an omission
within a sentence.

• Edwards tells the reader, You may feel . . .
  that its the drawing that is hard.

• If you omit a whole line or more when
• quoting poetry, indicate the omission by
• using ellipsis points for the length of a
• line.
