- Main aim
- to enhance the qualifications of academic
teachers and administration staff in the field of
disability and disabled peoples participation in
the society based on disability knowledge
5- Detailed aims
- providing the target groups with reliable
knowledge concerning disability, its types, its
physiological and psychological consequences, - eliminating the barriers faced by disabled people
in their daily lives and ways to achieve that, - developing in the target groups an active
attitude supporting disabled persons based on
reliable knowledge acquired in the training,
6- equipping the target groups with the skills of
making correct and effective contact with
disabled people, - eliminating negative attitudes related to
disability, stereotypes and withdrawal
attitudes, - improving the image of disabled people as
students, applicants and work colleagues.
7Academic teachers -learning outcomes
- enhancing qualifications concerning knowledge
about different barriers in a social life of
disabled people, - decreasing of social stereotypes and prejudices
about disabled people, - decreasing of fear in a contact with disabled
people,
8- gaining knowledge about disability language
taking into consideration a change of thinking
about disability, - changing of a way of thinking about disabled
people not as objects of charity, but as
subjects of a social life.

15Academic teachers evaluation of the training
course
- It was very effective with pleasant atmosphere.
I am sure that knowledge that I gained during
it is to use in contact with students. - It is neccessary to continue training course,
because academic teachers are not aware of
disabled persons requirements.
