Creating Student Publications using Publisher and
Paint Program

Open up Microsoft Publisher program

Select Publications for Print

Choose Catalogs from menu

Once catalog is open, go to Edit menu, select all
and then hit the delete key.

To add more pages go to the Insert menu and
select page

Click on OK

Make sure you add pages in groups of 4 by hitting
YES button!

Use text tool or insert text box to add text

Insert student graphics from the file where you
have saved them in jpeg format.

Can even use the paint program to create simple
graphics.

To save your pictures go to File and select Save
As

Save in common folder accessible to all students
and save as jpeg.

Insert the picture into your document as
described previously.

Printing

• You want to make sure that when you print the
  document, you go to file print.
• Select page 1 of 1 this will print the front
  and back cover of the document.
• Next, print page 2 of 2 on the other side of the
  page you just printed.
• Some printers will print both sides at once. This
  process takes experimentation with your
  particular printer.
