Embedded RAID Mirroring

• LSI 53C1020 (53C1030) has a full-function SCSI
  controller with embedded RAID mirroring
• RAID 1 on boot volume only, with up to one
  hot-spare drive
• Comes standard with the server
• Use ServeRAID Manager/CD for pre-OS
  configuration
• Use ServeRAID Manager for on-line
  configuration/monitoring

  command-line utility

• Press ltCtrl-Cgt to access the LSI configuration
  screen.
• Select the device and press ltEntergt.
• Choose ltdevice propertiesgt.
• Choose device ltID 0gt.
• Press ltEscgt and exit to Device Properties screen.

• Choose ltMirroring Propertiesgt.
• In the Mirroring Properties screen you can check
  the status of a RAID array or configure an array.
• The default setting is ltnogt for mirrored pair.
• Select boot device 0 and change to ltyesgt
• Select device 1 and change to ltyesgt
• Press ltEscgt twice to return to the Main menu.

• Select ltBoot Adapter Listgt press ltEntergt.
• Select which adapter to boot from. Select lt0gt.
• Press ltEscgt to return to Main Menu.
• Press ltEscgt, then select ltSave changes and exit
  the menugt.
