• Discuss and engage in ways to create and
  strengthen the various networks available to us
  in our lives
• Define social networks
• Look at some examples of successful networks
• Discuss some tools to help us build or strengthen
  our own networks for professional and personal
  interests

What is a Social Network?

• A Social Network
• A social network is a social structure made of
  nodes (which are generally individuals or
  organizations) that are tied by one or more
  specific types of interdependency, such as
  values, visions, ideas, financial exchange,
  friendship, kinship, dislike, conflict or trade.
  The resulting graph-based structures are often

  online communities of people who share interests
