He was born on March 18,1454. He died in 1512
of malaria. He was Italian.

  • North and South America were named after him
  • He was the first European to see Brazil and the
    mouth of the Amazon River
  • He made it back from South America and didn't get
    into trouble

  • In 1492, he was sent to Seville, Spain to help
    Spanish ships load cargo onto the ships.
  • He helped Columbus with food and tools on his
    third and fourth journeys.
