For a BAF 10 how many pounds per acre does each
foot of tree height represent?

Suppose only one tree one foot tall is tallied at
a BAF 10 point. The basal area per acre is 10 sq
ft. The VBAR is 30.51 30.5. The pounds per
acre per foot is 10 30.5 305 pounds per
foot. Each ten feet of height represents 3050
pounds per acre, or about a ton and a half. To
use this VBAR, total the heights of all trees IN
at a point, divide by 10, and multiply by 3050.
