Conclusion
  • It is possible to detect fires, but
  • the algorithms will not perform well in some
    cases (solar glint, opaque clouds, shore lines)
  • They are based on difference of potential fire
    pixels and the averrage background BT (sometimes
    av.T of backround can be too high due to large
    number of fires)
  • large number of fires are located on the edges
  • of the forests.
