How Does the Non-Travel-Option Work?
  • Students attend
  • First Saturday class of any travel-class
  • Second and third Saturday of two other travel
    class
  • Requirements
  • Comparative country analysis paper supervised by
    faculty that leads the second trip
  • Presentation of a comparative industry analysis
    for both countries in second trip class

Whats Included in the Price?
  • All group transportation from the departure
    airport (LAX)
  • Housing
  • Foreign Tuition, if applicable (e.g. Cambridge)
  • Small number of extras (e.g. meals, entry
    tickets)

What Are the Academic Requirements?
  • Research paper (country-analysis or topic as
    agreed upon by advisor)
  • Travel journal (group work)
  • Presentations (one large, a few small ones)
  • Class participation

Can I Stay Longer?
  • Yes, but you have to let us know by the time of
    the deposit
  • You can also meet the group at the first
    destination, but you also have to let us know by
    then
  • Please note that you need to be with the group
    for all academic portions of the trip in order to
    receive credit

Is It Safe?
  • All trips are as safe as any travel that you can
    do on your own to any of the destinations
    selected, if not safer.
  • However, risks remain traffic, e.g. in parts of
    China, is much less organized than what you know
    from the US.

Whats the Housing Quality?
  • Varies by location
  • Part of it will be student housing (e.g.
    Cambridge), which by definition is not 5 star
    hotel standard, double occupancy
  • Hotels selected are generally standard level
    nothing fancy, but no adventure
