2Here are some things I might travel with. What
can the things in my backpack tell you about me?
Who do I belong to?
3I am one of the boys who live at the IPODERAC
shelter.
4. Can whats in my backpack tell you something
about me?
Who do I belong to?
5We are boys that live at the IPODERAC shelter.
6Where is IPODERAC?
- IPODERAC is in the State of Puebla in Mexico.
7What is IPODERAC? IPODERAC is a boys shelter that
takes care of abandoned children in Mexico
The mission of IPODERAC is to help abandoned
children and children that have lived in the
streets to transform themselves into honest men,
capable of building their own future, with an
attitude of service and commitment to their
community, with love for life, interdependency
toward others, and respect of other beliefs.
8There are 72 boys ranging from 6-20 living at
IPODERAC and they live in buildings like this one.
9Everyone at IPODERAC helps out!
Do you wash your own clothes?
10We raise goats and make cheese and soap out of
goats milk.
We all have a job no matter how old we are!
11We all go to school. Do you ride the school
bus?
12 What games do you like to play? Do you play
any of the same games we are playing?
13If you could only pack one backpack to take with
you to live somewhere new, what would you pack?
