Title: Avoid common problems:

Avoid common problems
When irrigating with copper ionized water, you
now are applying a fungicide every watering
cycle. This means you are descaling your
irrigation lines, sterilizing your water, killing
algae and other pathogens such as Botrytis,
Tomato late blight, Pythium, Erwinia and others
to numerous to mention.
How copper ionization works
Electrically generated copper ions are dispersed
into a water system for the purpose of disease
control, tip /line descaling and drift control by
means of direct current applied across specially
designed and formulated copper electrodes. Copper
ion dosage is automatically maintained by a
Digital Control Unit. Copper inactivates or kills
micro-organisms by binding sulfhydryl moieties
present in cellular proteins and enzymes. Once
bound these proteins may not be able to function
in enzymatic reactions. The same charge that has
sent the copper ions into solution has
temporarily increased the solubility of the
minerals causing them to lose their adhesive
properties and remain in suspension in the liquid
until they are flushed from the system. By this
reaction, the existing scale is taken back into
solution and can also be flushed out.
