Beams DivisionStartup Schedule

• Operating under the following
• Fermilab establishes a goal of achieving 36x36
  stores by March 31, and the Beams Division
  creates a schedule that reflects this goal.
• The accelerator schedule during the month of
  March will be under the control of the Beams
  Division and will reflect those activities that
  lead to the above goal.
• Perform studies in orderly fashion and establish
  good working points for all machines
• Assumptions
• No major component failures
• Some overhead for average downtimes and
  required accesses
• No planned accesses or down days
• Exception ComEd Kautz Road Substation outage
  (schedule under our control, 21 Mar?)

• Pbar Stacking Startup
• 2 weeks of necessary tasks
• Debuncher Cooling Phasing
• Accumulator Cooling Phasing
• 1.5 weeks of desired studies
• AP1 magnet moves and alignment
• Stacking and transfer tuneup
• Overlaps with Recycler tunnel work
• Evenings/owls only
• Start 23 Feb

• Tevatron Startup
• Appears can still have Tev cold by 1 Mar
• Need to have 1 day of safety system testing
  (probably before 1 Mar -- need to make up
  interlocks by 28 Feb)
• Magnet Power supply tests (may have partial
  access to halls) - 2 days
• Commissioning of Central orbit - 3 weeks
• Commissioning of Helical orbits - 2 weeks

• Tevatron central orbit ready for 1x8 stores
• 24 March
• Allow for 3 days of 1x8 stores
• Tevatron helical orbits ready for 36x36 stores
• 9 April
• Allow for 7 days of 36x36 stores
• Access requests 16 April
