Who Can Use EndNote?

• Anyone writing an assignment, research paper or
  thesis
• Anyone writing journal articles
• Anyone writing a book or a book chapter

What Is EndNote?

• EndNote is a software package which allows you to
  store and organise your references
• EndNote allows you to transfer references into a
  Word document and automatically creates a
  bibliography
• You can choose from a wide variety of reference
  styles and easily change between styles

What we will do today

• Create an EndNote reference library
• Search, find and save some references in a
  database, and in the library catalogue
• Bring them into our EndNote library
• Choose a reference style
• Insert references into a Word document and create
  a bibliography

Getting the software

• Buy EndNote on CD from UTS Library at any campus
  (20)
• OR download the program from the Librarys
  EndNote web page (free)
• Both PC and Macintosh versions of EndNote are
  available
• However, todays training will be based on
  EndNote version 9 for PC and Word
