  Economy (Cambridge University Press, Cambridge
  1999).

Warmer and Cooler
Climate change can be considered a spatially
diffferentiated process. Although many areas
could experiencetemperature increases on the
order of 1.5-4.5o C , some areas may actually
cool under global warming conditions (OBrien

  nautical miles shorter.

Why the Variation in Impact?

• The impacts of global warming are subject to
  biases in the assumptions provided in the models.
• It is very difficult to project how humans will
  change and interact with the environment.
