Icebreakers
  • For next four team meetings, start with one of
    the following (or similar)
  • Favorite TV show and why it is a favorite
  • Best first job after college
  • Last movie you watched
  • Favorite song or musical group
  • Mutter a lot, blame me, etc but do it! (I may ask)

Team Meetings
  • One of the most common complaints is that
    meetings are not productive
  • Be organized
  • have agenda for meeting
  • know due dates
  • have schedule at least till next presentation
  • set assignments

Posting assignments/issues/decisions
  • Each team leader will post
  • A weekly list of tasks and evaluation of last
    weeks results
  • A semester list of issues and decisions
    (chronological) this may change during the
    semester
  • Must be posted by noon on Fridays

  • Submit Weekly by Email on Friday
  • Starting Friday, Sep 8th
  • Justify grades less than 100
  • On web 0-10 pts (actual 0-100)

  • Be harder at the beginning - it is easier to
    become more lenient than to become more demanding
  • Create a grading rubric send me a copy (by Sep

  • 50 minutes (Pres 1 - 25 min )

  • Paper copy needs to be circled and turned in 24
    hours before presentation with CD containing all
    required documentation (DONT ZIP FILES)

Non-cooperation
  • Talk with team member
  • Make sure assignments are clear and written
  • Give low weekly percentages
  • Make assignments non-critical
  • Request that grading is separate

Team member interviews
  • Every team leader needs to interview each team
    member separately.
  • Get to know each other
  • Find out concerns of team members
  • Determine strengths of each team member
  • Send me a report by Sep 13th that details the
    meetings and includes a summary of the teams
    strengths and weaknesses (attach a word doc, no
    zip files)
