Coursework 2 (first part)
  • Produce an individual prototype
  • You will be allocated a new system to work on
    (one of music, photos or videos that you have not
    worked on before)
  • You will be given a requirements specification
  • You need to produce a prototype that meets this
    specification. Low-tech prototyping methods are
    encouraged.
  • You need to document the design of your prototype
    in a report. You need to keep you actual
    prototype for the final evaluation part of the
    coursework
  • Hand in a 1,500 word individual report
  • Worth 30 of the overall mark for G52HCI
  • Due 1600 on Friday 20th March via WebCT

  • Introduction
  • Introduction to the report
  • Discussion of your chosen prototyping method
  • Documentation of your prototype
  • Walk through your design
  • Explain how you have met the requirements
    (reference the specification)
  • Explain how you have followed established design
    guidelines
  • Liberal use of photos and screenshots is
    encouraged alongside textual explanation
  • Comment on the requirements specification
  • Comment on the strengths and weaknesses of the
    requirements specification you were given. How
    easy was it to follow and why?
