Astronomy

• Astronomy is the study of stars and all the
  heavenly bodies. This study tells us what kind of
  constellations there are and how they are
  positioned together in the sky. Also, astrologers
  help us by telling us where new stars are
  located. Astronauts have to learn about astronomy
  because they have to learn about the planets
  around them and their positions as well as outer
  space. Sailors use the stars and other heavenly
  bodies to be their guide in the sea.

Oceanography

• Oceanography is the study of the ocean and its
  environment. This means the study of the water
  depth, water beds, the animals in and around the
  sea and the plants that grow in and around the
  ocean. Marine Biologists use oceanography to find
  out about the animal life within. Oceanologists
  study the undersea and the way it can be used for
  the economy and military purposes.

Geology

• Geology is the study of rock formations, fossils
  and earth crust. Geologists also deal with the
  study of the physical nature and history of the
  earth. Archeologist are similar to geologist
  because they study artifacts that were found
  underground. Sometimes they dig layers and layers
  underground where they might think is a lost city
  to study the past. Archeologist also have to know
  about earth formations to be able to know where
  to dig and if they find something to know how to
  date back in time.

Marine Biologist

• Marine biology is my favorite career because I
  enjoy being in the water. Also I would love to
  explore fish, sharks ,and other underwater life.
  Two instruments that marine biologists use are
  animal tags, which is a device used to track down
  animals. They also use a sonar to detect where
  the animals are located.
