• prepositions- words used to show the relationship
  between a noun or pronoun and some other word in
  the sentence
• Sara skated off the ice.

• conjunctions- words which connect words or groups
  of words
• most common examples and, but, or
• interjections- a word or phrase used to express
  strong feeling or emotion
