  ASSIST IN ACCESS WHEN REQUIRED

COMMUNICATIONS PLANNING ASSISTANCE

• Led by FEMA. Provides assistance to State and
  Local First Responders in development of Disaster
  Emergency Communications Plans
• Team includes many other Federal entities FCC,
  GSA Regional teams, NCS, other components of DHS,
  and DOD
• Work with State and Local Emergency Managers,
  first responders, National Guard and anyone else
  local officials want involved.
• Follow on to work done in Louisiana, Mississippi,
  and Alabama following Katrina
• First Targets PR VI, Southeast Atlantic and
  Gulf Coast States.
• Feeds into Regional Emergency Communications
  Coordination Working Groups
